26^th Coordination Committee on Greater Kabul Development

The 26^th monthly meeting of the Coordination Committee on Greater Kabul Development (CCGKD) was held on Wednesday 1^st February 2012, at Dehsab - Barikab City Development Authority (DCDA) meeting hall. The meeting was attended by representatives from Ministry of Finance, Kabul Governor’s Office, Embassy of Japan, Ministry of Urban Development Affairs (MoUDA), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The Coordination Committee on Greater Kabul Development (CCGKD) holds its meetings on monthly bases to discuss, confirm and review issues related to the existing Kabul City and the Kabul New City.

Eng. Gholam Sachi Hassanzadah, Member of the Independent Board and CEO Dehsabz – Barikab City Development Authority (DCDA) thanked the representatives of the stakeholders and opened the floor to discuss items listed in the agenda. The meeting discussed the general and technical issues on the progress with the Kabul New City Master Plan.

At the end, the challenges with which the overall development process of the Greater Kabul City is faced were discussed and the participants of the committee shared their recommendations to root out the available obstacles.
